Mark Harmon’s Surprise Career Move After Leaving NCIS – Revealed!

In a recent interview, Mark Harmon opened up about his life after departing from the CBS hit show NCIS two years ago. Clarifying that he didn’t retire but rather chose to leave the show, the 72-year-old actor shared details about his post-NCIS activities with Po Magazine.

Mark disclosed that on November 14, he will release “Ghosts of Honolulu,” a historical non-fiction book centered around a Japanese American spy hunter and the untold story of Pearl Harbor. Expressing his belief in the importance of learning from history, he mentioned, “Things have a propensity to repeat.”

The plot of his upcoming novel revolves around the birth of what eventually became the real NCIS. Mark emphasized that the agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service are a unique group, performing significant work often unknown to the public. “I hope an angle that you are unaware of is disclosed here,” he added.

Discussing his hobbies after two decades of service on NCIS, Mark highlighted his daily pursuit of finding something to do. Acknowledging the fatigue that came with the demanding schedule of the show, he expressed missing the camaraderie, shared meals, and learning about everyone’s lives outside of the show. Despite the challenges, Mark emphasized the job aspect and the serious attitude he maintained during his time on NCIS.

Now, with more time on his hands, Mark relishes the freedom to engage in various activities. He mentioned the possibility of organizing dinners with friends or embarking on trips. Reflecting on his current situation, Mark concluded, “I never wake up without thinking how lucky I am.”
