Do NCIS Actors Wilmer Valderrama and Pauley Perrette Remember David McCallum as a Legend and an Adventure?
David McCallum, who passed away on September 25 at the age of 90 in New York, received heartfelt tributes from former co-stars Pauley Perrette and Wilmer Valderrama.
McCallum was the last remaining original cast member of CBS’s long-running series “NCIS.” For two decades, he portrayed Chief Medical Examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard, an eccentric yet highly efficient investigator with a knack for psychological profiling.
Pauley Perrette, who portrayed Abby Sciuto on “NCIS” from 2003 to 2018, celebrated McCallum as a “legend” and shared a series of photos of him on Instagram. She expressed her admiration, saying, “David, David. What an adventure. What a legend. Wow, what a journey. And the love you have for your family will always be your legacy. Love to Catherine, the kids, and the grandchildren, your very favorite things.”
Wilmer Valderrama, known for his role as Nick Torres, also bid farewell to his former co-star. He remarked, “David, it was an enormous honor to share the screen with you. Your expertise and ability to effortlessly take each of us on a journey through your art will be felt for the rest of our lives. My friend, I will miss you.”
“David lived a great, full, long life,” commented longtime “NCIS” star Mark Harmon earlier in the week. He recalled his awe when he first met McCallum and expressed the pride of having worked alongside him. Harmon extended his heartfelt condolences to Katherine and McCallum’s family.
David McCallum’s extensive TV series credits include “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” “The Invisible Man,” “The Education of Max Bickford,” “Sapphire and Steel,” “Colditz,” “Motherlove,” “Kidnapped,” and appearances in episodes of “The Outer Limits,” “Law & Order,” and “Sex and the City.”
