Maria Bello Spills Tea on Jack and Gibbs’ ‘Great Love’ – Where Is She Now Post-NCIS? Find Out!
It’s widely known that Maria Bello is bidding farewell to NCIS, where she portrayed the clever and cunning forensic psychologist “Jack” Sloane since 2017. In December, the actress shared poignant photos of her final day on set on her Instagram account.
Bello revealed her departure was driven by a longstanding commitment to a film project titled “The Woman King,” starring Viola Davis. The movie, described as a female Braveheart, is based on the remarkable story of 5,000 women warriors in Dahomey, modern-day Benin, during the 18th and 19th centuries—hailed as “the biggest badasses they’d ever fought.”
Additionally, Bello plans to indulge her passion for adventure travel and women’s history by flying to Haiti. However, before bidding her character farewell, viewers can expect a significant NCIS episode on March 2. In this episode, Sloane and head honcho Gibbs (Mark Harmon) embark on a mission to Afghanistan after Sloane’s old friend and a busload of schoolgirls she was chaperoning are kidnapped, with a potential involvement of the Taliban.
Addressing the speculation around her character’s relationship with Gibbs, Bello assured fans that the episode would continue to explore the wonderful affection between them, without revealing any romantic involvement.
