Typically, September is packed with new season premieres, but this year, CBS is breaking from tradition. NCIS Season 22 won’t be premiering in September 2024.
CBS recently announced its premiere dates, revealing that most of its shows will debut later than usual. Instead of the typical September premieres, CBS has scheduled a premiere week for October. The second season of Tracker will kick things off on Sunday, Oct. 13.
NCIS Season 22 is set to premiere on Monday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. However, starting the following week, it will move to a new time slot at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The highly anticipated prequel series NCIS: Origins will also debut on Oct. 14 with a special two-hour premiere.
What can we expect from NCIS Season 22? Details about the upcoming season are still under wraps, but one of the biggest questions is whether Katrina Law will return as Jessica Knight. In the Season 21 finale, Knight accepted a job offer that would take her across the country, leaving her relationship with Palmer uncertain. This cliffhanger has left fans wondering if Knight will rejoin the team.
No casting announcements have been made since the finale, which could either suggest that Knight is returning or be a tactic to build anticipation for the premiere. It’s possible that the premiere will reveal her fate and include some new casting news.
