NCIS Hits a Massive Milestone! The Franchise Celebrates Its 1,000th Original Episode – Here’s What You Need to Know!

CBS is celebrating a major milestone with the 1,000th original episode of its global NCIS franchise, which officially airs on Monday, April 15. This landmark episode marks the 464th episode of the flagship series, NCIS.

The achievement is a testament to the success of the world’s #1 TV franchise, produced by CBS Studios, and includes episodes from NCIS, NCIS: Hawai’i, NCIS: Sydney, NCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: New Orleans. Fun fact: binge-watching all 1,000 episodes of the NCISverse back-to-back without breaks would take around 42,722 minutes—just under 30 full days!

Titled “A Thousand Yards,” the 1,000th episode sees NCIS coming under attack by a mysterious figure from the past. Meanwhile, Vance (Rocky Carroll) attempts to reconcile with his estranged son, explaining why he continues to stay with NCIS despite the job’s ongoing dangers. The special episode will air on the CBS Television Network from 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after it airs).

Fans will also be treated to special appearances by Daniela Ruah (NCIS: Los Angeles) and Vanessa Lachey (NCIS: Hawai’i). The episode was penned by executive producer Christopher Waild and directed by Diana Valentine.
