Brian Dietzen Reveals His Hopes for Jimmy Palmer in NCIS Season 22
by chrysos ·
Brian Dietzen’s character, Jimmy Palmer, has endured numerous challenges on “NCIS,” from losing his wife Brianna and mentor Ducky to accepting the retirement of Leroy Gibbs. The “NCIS” Season 21 finale added another blow with Jimmy’s girlfriend, Jessica Knight, taking a new role away from their team.
Hope for More Screen Time for Jimmy Palmer in Season 22
For Season 22, I hope Jimmy gets more screen time. Despite being an important figure, his status as a non-field agent frequently limits his visibility. Highlighting his significance and contributions would give credit to his character. This season could provide an opportunity to delve deeper into his biography and give him the recognition he deserves.
Deepening the Bond: Exploring a More Developed Friendship with Kasie
In Season 22 of “NCIS,” I hope to see a more developed friendship between Jimmy Palmer and Kasie Hines, the only other non-special agent on the team. Kasie, played by Diona Reasonover, has had a solid professional relationship with Jimmy since joining in Season 15. Expanding their friendship with more scenes together, even beyond the laboratory, would be great, especially after Jessica’s departure.
Kasie’s caring and helpful character, demonstrated in Season 20 when she defended Jimmy against Miles Bauer, exemplifies her commitment. This attribute could be crucial in Jimmy’s recovery from the grief of his previous losses and the future split with Jessica Knight. A deeper platonic friendship between Jimmy and Kasie would be a lovely addition to the show.
Revisiting the Rivalry: Jimmy Faces Off Against Old Nemesis Miles Bauer
In Season 22 of “NCIS,” I’d like to see Jimmy Palmer revisit his old nemesis, Miles Bauer, from the Season 20 episode “Second Opinion.” Despite their rocky past, Jimmy and Miles ended on good terms. Seeing them collaborate on a case would be an intriguing plot twist. Jimmy’s personal life rarely takes center stage, so exploring this dynamic further would be refreshing. Additionally, revisiting Miles’ offer to co-author a book could expand Jimmy’s career beyond the NCIS lab, adding depth to his character.
