NCIS Shuts Down Production Due to LA Fires—Fans Worried About Mark Harmon’s Safety!
Fans Express Concern for Mark Harmon Amid LA Wildfires and Production Halts
As wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles, fans of NCIS star Mark Harmon have taken to Reddit to express their concern for his safety. The 72-year-old actor, best known for his iconic role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the hit police procedural, resides in Brentwood—a neighborhood that has been evacuated due to the rapidly spreading Palisades fire.
Harmon’s $15 million home is among the properties at risk in the affluent area, which is also home to Harrison Ford, Jennifer Garner, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The ongoing wildfires have caused unprecedented destruction, with over 2,000 structures destroyed and more than 130,000 Los Angeles residents forced to evacuate. Several major TV productions, including NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy, Hacks, and Abbott Elementary, have temporarily halted filming due to the crisis.
FilmLA, the agency responsible for issuing filming permits, issued a statement on Wednesday acknowledging the severity of the situation:
“The past two days have brought unprecedented risk to life and property from multiple area wildfires, while also placing extreme demands on public safety personnel. With deepest appreciation for the efforts of local firefighters, police, and paramedics at this difficult time, we advise the production community that personnel resources ordinarily available to support film production may not be available during the local State of Emergency.”
Fans, worried about Harmon’s safety, discussed their concerns in a Reddit thread. One user asked, “It’s devastating what’s happening in California. I was curious if anyone knew if Mark was okay?” Responses ranged from hope to uncertainty, with one commenter sharing: “I saw an IG video by someone else, and the house looked to be not fully engulfed, but flames were lapping at the exterior walls. It might have been their son’s house. I’m not sure.”
Harmon, who starred in NCIS from 2003 to 2021, does not maintain a social media presence, leaving fans to speculate about his wellbeing. The absence of updates has only heightened concern, as other celebrities have publicly shared their struggles with the wildfires.
Stars such as Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, Jhené Aiko, and Anna Faris have already lost their homes, with many more forced to evacuate.
The fires have not only disrupted lives but also placed a significant strain on emergency responders, with no immediate end in sight. Fans are left hoping for the safety of Harmon and other residents affected by the disaster.
