Among the victims were Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, son-in-law Nathan Kistler, family worker Melanie Hodges, and pilot Larry Haynie along with his wife Melissa. Autumn Nelon Streetman, the sole survivor of the family, released a heartfelt statement expressing her deep grief and gratitude for the prayers and support during this difficult time.
The Nelons were en route to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when their plane crashed in Wyoming. Witnesses described seeing the plane engulfed in flames as it plummeted to the ground. Despite prompt emergency response efforts, there were no survivors.
In 2016, the Nelons were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame, a testament to their significant influence in gospel music. They are remembered for their timeless songs, including “I Shall Not Be Moved,” “Come Morning,” and “We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown.”
