NCIS season 22 release date, cast and episode count as CBS series finally returns this month!!!!!!

NCIS fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of season 22 and thankfully there isn’t long to go before it debuts.

The show has been off-air since May when Agent Jessica Knight, portrayed by Katrina Law, took up a new role as the chief of training for the REACT team.
This move to the West Coast leaves viewers wondering about her relationship with chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer, played by Brian Dietzen.

The much-anticipated season 22 of NCIS is set to debut on Monday, October 14, on CBS. It will be followed by the two-hour premiere of the prequel series, NCIS: Origins.

While an official UK start date for the 22nd season hasn’t been announced yet, it will be available on Disney+.

Despite significant cast changes over the years, the lineup for season 22 is expected to resemble that of the previous season.

Gary Cole is slated to return as supervisory special agent Alden Parker, alongside Sean Murray as his second-in-command Agent Timothy McGee, reports the Express.

Other returning cast members include Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres, Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer, Diona Reasonover as Kasie Hines, and Rocky Carroll as Leon Vance.

While the finale of season 21 hinted at the departure of Katrina Law’s character, Jessica Knight, there has been no official confirmation. Therefore, fans speculate that she will be part of the season 22 cast.

The episode count for NCIS season 22 has been revealed. Season 21 was unusually short, with only 10 episodes due to the actors and writers’ strike that shook the entertainment industry last year.

However, this won’t be the case for the upcoming season. According to TV Guide, season 22 will have a total of 21 episodes.

The creators have remained tight-lipped about most of the episode titles, except for the first one, which is titled “Empty Nest.”
