Emily Wickersham, best known for her portrayal of Ellie Bishop on NCIS, was a familiar face on television long before she joined the show in its 11th season. Following the departure of Ziva David, Bishop quickly became a fan favorite. However, Wickersham had already showcased her talent across several iconic TV series prior to her role on NCIS.
Born in Kansas and raised in New York, Emily began her acting career in the mid-2000s. Her versatility and skill landed her roles in popular television shows and films, leading up to her breakthrough performance as Ellie Bishop.
One of her earliest notable roles was in the critically acclaimed HBO series The Sopranos, where she portrayed Rhiannon Flammer. In the show’s final season, her character becomes romantically involved with A.J. Soprano (Robert Iler).

Law & Order: Criminal Intent, a spin-off of the original Law & Order series, focuses on the NYPD Major Case Squad as they tackle high-profile and complex crimes.

Gone (2012) – Molly Conway
Before her role on NCIS, Emily Wickersham appeared in the Amanda Seyfried-led thriller Gone. She portrayed Molly Conway, the sister of Seyfried’s character, whose sudden disappearance sets the story in motion.
Directed by Heitor Dhalia, this psychological thriller follows a young woman’s desperate search for her missing sister, whom she suspects has been abducted by a serial killer.
Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film boasted a strong supporting cast, including Sebastian Stan and Wes Bentley.
