While fixing her car’s wheel on the side of a highway, 22-year-old Kamylla Cristina Rosa de Oliveira was tragically struck and killed by a speeding vehicle. Born in Piracanjuba, in the state of Goiás, Brazil, Kamylla had pulled over on the shoulder of the GO-217 highway with two friends after their car began experiencing issues.

According to the Goiás Military Police, the driver discovered an issue with one of the front wheels. After pulling over, Kamylla and her friends stepped out of the car to investigate. Upon inspection, they found that several bolts holding the wheel in place were missing. It remains unclear whether the bolts had loosened and fallen off or if someone had attempted to steal the wheel and fled.

While Kamylla was trying to fix the issue, a passing car struck her. Tragically, she died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that hit her did not stop and fled the scene.

Kamylla, a model, was hit by a car that her friends were unable to describe to the police. All they could report was that the vehicle was traveling in the same direction as theirs.

“We had just finished organizing everything for our long-awaited agency,” Kamylla’s friend, Laura Teixeira, shared on social media. “Did I tell you I loved you enough, my friend? No words can describe the pain I feel.”
