Diany Rodriguez stars as Vera Strickland in the “NCIS: Origins” premiere alongside Kyle Schmid as her future partner, Mike Franks. Rodriguez is no stranger to the “NCIS” franchise, having previously appeared as DHS Agent Garcia in a 2017 episode of “NCIS: New Orleans.”

In “NCIS: Origins,” new character Cecilia “Lala” Dominguez (Mariel Molino) is seen alongside Vera Strickland (Diany Rodriguez). Executive producer Gina Lucita Monreal notes, “There weren’t many female agents in 1991, so Lala and Vera really hold down the fort.
