NCIS Season 22 Photos Reveal Shocking Return of Fan Favorite—Debunking Exit Rumors!

CBS has officially confirmed that Katrina Law will reprise her role as Jessica Knight in NCIS Season 22, putting to rest rumors about her possible exit. Although the Season 21 finale hinted at Knight’s potential departure with a tempting job offer, promotional images for the upcoming season confirm that she remains a key member of the Major Case Response Team (MCRT).

This announcement reassures fans who were concerned about Knight’s future on the show. The storyline surrounding her possible exit mirrors past NCIS arcs involving characters like Ellie Bishop, Ziva David, and Kate Todd, where the threat of departure loomed but the characters ultimately stayed.

Before joining NCIS in Season 18, Katrina Law was widely recognized for her role as Nyssa al Ghul in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. She also appeared as Quinn Liu in the reboots of Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I. On NCIS, Law portrays Jessica Knight, a highly skilled REACT agent specializing in hostage negotiations and high-stakes scenarios. Knight’s character is also romantically involved with Dr. Jimmy Palmer, the team’s medical examiner, played by Brian Dietzen.

NCIS, created by Donald P. Bellisario, first aired in 2003 as a spinoff of JAG. Returning cast members for Season 22 include Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole. This will be the third season without Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, though Harmon remains available for occasional appearances.
