“Alright, beautiful people,” Valderrama announced with enthusiasm. “I think you know what time it is. We’re officially back on set for NCIS. Season 22 is a go. We’ve been rolling for a few days now, and I’m here to let you know that your boy Nick is back!”

Earlier this month, in an interview with People, Valderrama hinted that this season would be one to remember. “The key discussion is about how we can turn up the heat this season,” he revealed. “That is my primary focus. It’s not going to be the typical ‘Oh, your favorite team is in peril.’ It will be more personal and soul-shattering. Expect some serious [tragedies] this season.”

However, the season won’t be all about intense drama. Valderrama also teased the possibility of romance. “There could be some new sparks flying. Maybe Torres is finally ready for love this season,” he suggested. “Who knows? It might be a topic we explore.”

Valderrama also mentioned that Gary Cole, who joined the cast in Season 19, will play a significant role this season. “Gary’s got some heavy lifting to do, and it’s going to be a lot of fun watching him tackle that.”
