NCIS’, ‘FBI’ & ‘Chicago Fire’ Lead Fall Season Ratings As CBS Secures 17 Of Top 25 Slots

EXCLUSIVE: CBS is once again dominating the fall TV season with its primetime lineup, securing 17 of the 25 most-watched entertainment programs so far. Among its standout new series are “Fire Country” (No. 17), “East New York” (No. 18), and “So Help Me Todd” (No. 22).

The network’s procedural dramas continue to perform exceptionally well, with “NCIS” and “FBI” leading the pack as the two most-watched series of the fall season, each averaging around 9.6 million viewers per episode, according to the latest Nielsen ratings. NBC’s “Chicago Fire” trails closely in third place with 9.5 million viewers.

This success mirrors last season’s final standings, where “NCIS,” “FBI,” and “Chicago Fire” were the most-watched scripted shows on broadcast television based on total viewers.

The fall viewership numbers incorporate live + seven-day viewing data for episodes that aired between September 19 and October 23. For episodes aired between October 24 and 27, live + three-day viewing data is used. Episodes from October 28 to 30 are measured using live + same-day data.

CBS has an impressive seven series in the top 10, including the sophomore comedy “Ghosts” (No. 7) with 8.9 million viewers per episode, and “Young Sheldon” (No. 6) with approximately 9 million viewers per episode. Other top ten entries include “60 Minutes,” “Equalizer,” and “Blue Bloods,” showcasing the network’s broad appeal and consistent ability to attract large audiences.
