Mariel Molino has joined the cast of NCIS: Origins as the female lead opposite Austin Stowell. The prequel series, set to debut during the 2024-25 broadcast season on CBS, explores the early years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Stowell with Mark Harmon returning as the older Gibbs in a narrating role.
Molino will portray Special Agent Lala Dominguez, a former Marine navigating the male-dominated field of the 1990s with determination and a dark sense of humor. Her dynamic with the tormented young Gibbs promises twists and sparks, keeping audiences intrigued.
Known for her roles in Spanish-language projects like El Juego De Las Llaves and Narcos: Mexico, as well as TV shows such as Promised Land and The Watchful Eye, Molino brings depth and versatility to the NCIS franchise.
