Tonight marks a special milestone for the CBS hit show NCIS, as it airs its landmark 500th episode across all its franchises, including NCIS: Los Angeles, Hawaii, Sydney, and New Orleans. Good morning! It’s a busy day on the freeways, but we’re hanging in here in the Bay Area. I have to say, as an actor, getting offered a role on NCIS feels like hitting the jackpot. The show’s popularity and longevity are incredible. I’ve been with the show since 2008, and it’s been an amazing journey. When I first joined, I never imagined it would go on for so long, but here we are, 16 years later. It’s truly an honor.

Thank you! It’s been a wonderful experience being part of such an iconic show and having the opportunity to play a significant role. Over the years, my character has evolved, softened around the edges, and brought more humor to the table. Initially, he was a bit of a wildcard, but through personal tragedies and bonding experiences with the team, he’s become an integral part of the NCIS family.

Having spent so much time on set, I’ve also had the chance to step behind the camera and direct some episodes. It’s been like being handed the keys to a luxury car and being told not to crash it. Thankfully, I must have done something right because I’ve directed around 25 episodes now. Having that familiarity with the cast and crew has been a huge advantage and made the transition to directing much smoother.
