‘NCIS’: Sean Murray Talks McGee’s Surprise Relative, Plus What’s Next for Him & Delilah.
Even after twenty-one seasons, NCIS continues to surprise both its characters and its actors! In the upcoming March 25 episode, McGee (Sean Murray) discovers a close relative he didn’t know about thanks to DNA results—a revelation that even caught Murray off guard.
“I was surprised to find that one out, too,” Murray tells TV Insider. The discovery unfolds as McGee’s wife, Delilah (Margo Harshman), nudges him into exploring his family history.
“Delilah is trying to push him into genealogy, tracking down ancestors, and McGee is initially skeptical,” Murray previews. “But as soon as he starts, he uncovers a long-lost relative, which really shakes him up. But he delves deeper into the mystery.”
Regarding the possibility of seeing Troian Bellisario reprise her role as McGee’s sister Sarah, Murray hints at the potential. “It’s funny you mention that because while I don’t have any inside scoop on whether that will happen, I did recently have lunch with Troian, who happens to be my stepsister,” Murray shares. “We discussed some of that. Who knows what the future holds? It’s all up in the air.”
