During the extended hiatus due to strikes last November, Sean Murray marked the 20th anniversary of his debut as Special Agent Timothy McGee on CBS’ NCIS.

In a recent interview, Murray discussed McGee’s evolving life throughout his two-decade tenure on the show. McGee has undergone significant changes, transitioning from a single agent to a husband and father. In the upcoming episode “The Plan,” airing on March 25, viewers can expect a dramatic twist involving a previously unknown family revelation.

Simultaneously, the team delves into solving the mystery surrounding a missing agent’s service weapon, aided by Jess’ father, Special Agent in Charge Feng Zhao, portrayed by Russell Wong. Murray also hinted at the excitement awaiting fans in the upcoming 1,000th episode, promising entertaining Easter eggs.

Wrapping up the interview, Murray engaged in an “NCIS Pop Quiz!” testing his knowledge of the show’s lore, including Gibbs’ rules and other trivia.
