Wilmer Valderrama Drops Major Career Bombshell – NCIS Fans in Panic Mode! Find Out Why!

The landscape of NCIS has undergone changes in its 19th season, and viewers are still adjusting to the new team dynamics. While there’s hope for Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to make a return, attention is now also focused on Torres (Wilmer Valderrama).

According to Deadline, Wilmer, who has portrayed the special agent since 2016, is engaged in a new series for The CW titled “Hipster Death Rattle.” This show, based on Richie Narvaez’s novel, explores a historically Latino neighborhood grappling with aggressive gentrification, where the arrival of new hipsters is followed by mysterious deaths.

Wilmer recently shared this exciting news on Instagram, triggering both excitement and concern among fans about the impact on his NCIS character. However, Wilmer’s role in “Hipster Death Rattle” is as an executive producer through his production company WV Entertainment. His first-look arrangement with CBS TV Studios, renewed in May 2020, aligns with his goal of producing various projects.

Just a week after the announcement of his current project, Deadline reported on December 14 that Wilmer is set to executive produce and star in a Disney Zorro TV series. In this modern telenovela-style adaptation set in the historic Pueblo de Los Angeles, he’ll portray Don Diego de la Vega and his alter ego, Zorro. While this exciting venture adds another layer to Wilmer’s diverse projects, it remains uncertain how it will affect his role in NCIS.

Wilmer expressed his personal connection to Zorro, stating, “Growing up, Zorro was the only character who made me feel like I could be a hero as a Latino.” He sees this opportunity as a dream come true to contribute to the legacy of Zorro and empower future generations to see themselves as heroes in their own stories.

As of now, there is no deadline provided for the Zorro project, leaving room for the possibility that Wilmer might balance both commitments. The future of his NCIS role, however, remains uncertain amid these new and exciting ventures.
