Sasha Alexander, renowned for her portrayal of Agent Kate Todd in NCIS, has remained actively engaged in various shows and films following her departure from the series.
Agent Kate Todd played a crucial role in the NCIS team until her abrupt exit in the second season, marked by a shocking incident where she was shot in the head by the double-agent Ari Haswari. The storyline took a dramatic turn when Ari’s half-sister, Ziva David, ultimately fatally shot him.
Post her tenure on NCIS, Sasha Alexander has graced a variety of shows and films, including “Lucky 13,” “Yes Man,” “Friends,” “The Ride,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and “FBI.”
One of her standout roles was as Maura Isles in the series “Rizzoli & Isles,” where she held a starring position for six years. Additionally, she portrayed Helene Runyon in the SAG Award-winning series “Shameless.”
In more recent ventures, Sasha lent her voice to the character Adeline in the animated film “Deathstroke Knights and Dragons,” starred in “Dangerous Lies,” and made a guest appearance in an episode of “Law and Order.”
On a personal note, Sasha is happily married to Edoardo Ponti, whom she met at USC’s film school, and they exchanged vows in 2007. Notably, she is the daughter-in-law of the legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren, who is Edoardo’s mother from her marriage to Carlo Ponti.
Sasha and Edoardo are proud parents of two children, a daughter named Lucia Sofia Ponti and a son named Leonardo Fortunato Ponti.
In May, the former NCIS star celebrated her 50th birthday surrounded by loved ones in the enchanting city of Paris.
