Shocking Revelation! NCIS Showrunners Finally Spill the Beans on Why Cote de Pablo Left the Show as ‘ZIVA’!

Cote de Pablo, known for her role as Special Agent Ziva David on NCIS, left the show in 2013, leading to various speculations about the reasons behind her departure. The executive producer, Charles Floyd Johnson, explained in a September 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter that de Pablo wanted to move on after eight years on the show. He mentioned that she had expressed her desire to explore new opportunities, creating a challenge during the transition to Emily Wickersham’s character, Eleanor Bishop.

However, de Pablo provided a different perspective on her exit, stating that political issues and unsatisfactory scripts were the key factors. She expressed her love for the character of Ziva David but voiced concerns about the direction the writers intended to take, intending to send Ziva back to Israel as an unfortunate, miserable woman. De Pablo emphasized her commitment to the character’s integrity and stated that she wouldn’t return until the writers could create something fantastic for Ziva.

Despite the contrasting explanations, fans have been hopeful for a reunion, especially after Michael Weatherly, who played Tony DiNozzo, hinted at interesting moments in the upcoming year. While it remains uncertain if a reunion is in the works, fans eagerly await the possibility of seeing Tony and Ziva together again on NCIS.
