Who Portrays Sam Hanna’s Son, Aiden, on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’?
In the upcoming episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, the focus shifts to Sam Hanna’s son, Aiden, who finds himself in a dire situation. Here’s what you need to know about the actor who portrays Sam’s son on the show.
In NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14, Episode 4, titled “Dead Stick,” Sam Hanna receives a distressing phone call regarding his son, Aiden. The news is particularly troubling for Sam, given the tragic loss of his wife, Michelle Hanna, a CIA Agent, during NCIS: Los Angeles Season 8, Episode 3, titled “Uncaged.”
Despite Aiden’s plane crash, he survives, but the situation takes a worrisome turn as he becomes the subject of an investigation, accused of causing the crash. Aiden is a highly trained individual, making it inconceivable that he would intentionally crash an aircraft. Thus, it becomes imperative to clear his name. Aiden had attended Keating Military Academy, an institution with a family legacy, as both his grandfather and father were alumni.
However, Aiden’s reputation includes a tendency to lose his temper, as noted by executive producer R. Scott Gemmill. Describing Aiden, Gemmill states, “Aiden has a reputation as a hot dog” and reveals that he’s been reprimanded for his behavior during flights.
The NCIS: Los Angeles team steps in to assist with the investigation, delving into factors like potential mechanical errors, the involvement of the ground crew, and aspects of the new jet technology that may not have been disclosed honestly. The ultimate goal is to exonerate Aiden.
Aiden Hanna’s character is portrayed by Tye White, who made his debut on NCIS: Los Angeles in 2014 during Season 6, Episode 11, titled “Humbug.” Tye White’s early roles include a part in the 2010 short film “Hopeless,” and that same year, he appeared in the film “Life of the Party,” in which he played the character LeBron. His acting career also includes roles in series such as “American Auto,” “Chicago Fire,” and “American Crime Story.”
Additionally, Aiden Hanna has a sister named Kamran Hanna, and she is portrayed by the actor Kayla Smith. She made her first appearance on NCIS: Los Angeles during Season 12, Episode 6, titled “If the Fates Allow.” Kayla Smith’s acting credits include roles in series like “All American,” “Star,” “Black Lightning,” and “Switched at Birth.”
The central character of Sam Hanna is portrayed by the accomplished actor and rapper LL Cool J. He made his film debut in the 1985 movie “Krush Groove,” where he performed the song “I Can’t Live Without My Radio.” In 1986, LL Cool J appeared in the film “Wildcats.” His acting career continued to flourish, and by 1991, he played the character Billy in the movie “The Hard Way,” co-starring with Michael J. Fox and James Woods.
In 1995, LL Cool J took on the lead role in his own TV show, “In the House,” where he portrayed Marion Hill until the series concluded in 1999. His diverse acting roles extend to appearances in productions like “Any Given Sunday,” “In Too Deep,” “House,” and “30 Rock.”
