NCIS actor Brian Dietzen confirmed that the show has been affected by the ongoing strikes in Hollywood. The Writers Guild of America initiated a strike in May, preventing shows and films that were not fully written from going into production. Last week, the Screen Actors Guild also commenced a strike, further delaying productions.

While on vacation in Greece with his wife Kelly, Dietzen shared a series of photos on his Instagram. He mentioned that after his holiday, he would join his co-stars in protesting due to the strikes in Hollywood. Dietzen’s post reflected on his amazing journey through Santorini, Naxos, and Athens, describing it as the trip of a lifetime. He praised the food and sights he experienced, including the breathtaking Parthenon, live orchestra performances, and the birthplace of theatre at the Theatre of Dionysus.

Dietzen highlighted Naxos as their favorite place to relax on the beach and enjoy some summer reading, while Santorini provided stunning sunsets and the best meal of the trip. He expressed gratitude to the new friends they met during their travels and looked forward to returning.

However, Dietzen acknowledged that it was time to get back to work, although he couldn’t predict when that would happen. He mentioned that he would be on the picket lines in support of the ongoing strikes. The strikes have brought uncertainty to the entertainment industry, as both writers and actors’ unions are striking simultaneously for the first time since 1960.
