“Stunning Reunion Alert: Bull Set Photo Unveils the NCIS Tony & Kate Actors Back Together – You Won’t Believe What Happened!”
Original NCIS cast members Michael Weatherly and Sasha Alexander, known for their roles as Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo and Caitlin “Kate” Todd, recently reunited on the set of Bull. Bull is a CBS series inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw, where Michael Weatherly portrays Dr. Jason Bull, a psychologist and trial expert who leads a jury consulting firm. The series began in 2016, and it was announced earlier this year that it would conclude with its sixth season.
In the early days of NCIS, Michael Weatherly and Sasha Alexander were integral parts of the main cast, and they garnered a dedicated fan following for their lively on-screen banter. However, Alexander’s character, Kate, met a tragic end in the NCIS season 2 finale, marking her departure from the show. But in a recent photo shared by Alexander on her Instagram page, the two co-stars were joyfully reunited.
In her Instagram caption, Alexander expressed her happiness at the reunion and revealed that she would be directing an episode of Bull in its sixth season. In the past, Alexander has directed episodes for other series, including Rizzoli & Isles, where she also starred, and an episode of YOU in its fourth season. Her work behind the camera on Bull is her latest project.
In a 2016 interview with TVLine, Alexander shared her reasons for leaving NCIS early on. She explained that her decision was a choice she made after discussions with Weatherly, during which she realized her desire to move on from the show. In these conversations, Weatherly likened procedural shows like NCIS to making the same sausage each week, with flavors that didn’t change much. Alexander responded that she wanted to explore roles where characters were continually evolving and pushing the boundaries.
While Bull is concluding its run, it has been marred by behind-the-scenes controversy related to Michael Weatherly’s alleged mistreatment of Eliza Dushku. She joined the CBS show towards the end of its first season with plans to return as a regular cast member for the second season. However, Dushku exited the series due to what she later described as on-set sexual harassment and belittlement by Weatherly. In November 2021, she provided detailed testimony about her experiences before a congressional committee.
